Let’s work together
The design brief for this project called for a fresh iteration on an established brand aesthetic to appeal to a new target market. RSAAW’s concept focused on fusing West Coast Modern design sensibilities with influences unique to the vibrant culture of Miami. Climate, demographics, and the region’s distinctive architectural and artistic precedents offered a rich inspiration palette for the project.

The brand aims to appeal to customer segments seeking both memorable dining and bar experiences, so particular attention was paid to transitions, with various zones (entrances, bar, lounge, and dining areas) delineated by changing floor systems. An emphasis on patterns and the use of vernacular materials such as stone, wood, and tile allowed these areas to be thematically integrated yet spatially distinct. Moments of discovery were strategically integrated within the flow sequence of guests traversing the space via installations and changes in light and materials, with textural appeal prioritized through carefully selected furnishings and coverings.  Uniform signage was strategically placed for both way finding and brand adherence, while hanging gardens and greenery offered a verdant, airy, casual feel appropriate to the tropical climate. By combining organic sensibilities and sculptural forms with functional furniture and fixtures, we translated to essence of the brand into an eye-catching yet familiar articulation to appeal to a new market segment.
